hi guys
my first time writing in this forum, though i visit your site every day for years now. firstly i want to thank you all for your great work. i would never complain about any delays caus i know how important it is to enjoy your life . now i want to ask one or two questions:
why are you making a remake of slam dunk? don't get me wrong. i love slam dunk, i really do. i've watched the anime with anime-empire subs (even though those weren't saizen-quality ) and i've read the manga at least 3 times and still get tears in the last volume. i think you know how long the anime is gonna be and that the anime is cut off before
~~~~~~ SPOILER ~~~~~~
the nationals and you'll never know the great ending with so much determination of hanamichi and the deep trust rukawa has to sakuragi since he too was impressed by the development of him. which is clearly shown at the last pass of him to hanamichi
~~~~~~ SPOILER END ~~~~~~
i would prefer an anime which no one had sub yet, but u already have begun, so i just wanted to know your reasons cause i think about 80 eps aren't as funny to do though sakuragi is the best entertainer u can get

You answered your own question in that post. There's at least 3 reasons i'd give that are already in your own post. There's really no other reason needed then people liking it, but sure, wanting to work on it, and wanting to put out a really nice release of it. There are no alternatives for fans like proper DVD releases subtitled, chances are there will never be. So for fans who want to collect it in "high quality" this might be the only way, ever. Besides, when it comes to good new shows, there's always the factor of a number of groups doing it, and whatever is left is often not THAT good. Next to all that, SD is a timeless classic that entertained numerous people, it's a good show to pick cause it rarely gets boring, and even when nothing much is happening, there's always Hanamichi being funny.
Honestly, I would have prefered that it would've been licensed by a proper company, and released in North America subtitled and all. But the chances of that happening after the debacle that was Toei's DVD's is slim to none.
Now with that said, and your question properly answered, we don't want to see anymore of this question. Failure to accept that will result in ban. _________________ Nothing funny bout being an otaku. It's sad. Get a life! Ashy b*st*rds. |
